ICD Management  

As a beginning point, Quixote has configured a default ICD Code Management window. It is listed as ppt and is based on the Chiro Code book. Each category has a set of buttons containing ICD Codes and fees associated with that category.

The ppt Default categories are:

·        Cervical and Head Primary

·        Cervical and Head Secondary and/or Complications

·        Cervical and Head Symptoms and Ill-Defined Conditions

·        Cervical and Head Non-Medicare/Associated

·        Headaches

·        Thoracic Primary

·        Thoracic Secondary and/or Complications

·        Thoracic Symptoms and Ill-Defined Conditions

·        Thoracic Non-Medicare/Associated

·        Lumbar Primary

·        Lumbar Secondary and/or Complications

·        Lumbar Symptoms and Ill-Defined Conditions

·        Lumbar Non-Medicare/Associated

·        Sacral / Pelvic Primary

·        Sacral / Pelvic Secondary and/or Complications

·        Sacral / Pelvic Symptoms and Ill-Defined Conditions

·        Sacral / Pelvic Non-Medicare/Associated

·        Upper Extremity Primary

·        Upper Extremity Shoulder Secondary and/or Complications

·        Upper Extremity Wrist/Hands/Fingers Secondary and/or Complications

·        Lower Extremity Primary

·        Lower Extremity Leg/Knee Secondary and/or Complications

·        Lower Extremity Ankle/Foot/Toes Secondary and/or Complications

·        Non-Medicare / Associated Headaches

·        Non-Medicare / Associated Head

Note: Each User can customize the ICD Management window.

Click on Admin

Click the ICD Management button

First select the User from the drop down list.

Add Category: Click the Add Category to add a new category

Enter a Category Name (description)

Click the Save button (or the Cancel button to disgard changes)

Edit Category: Highlight the category to Edit and click the Edit Category button

Delete Category: Highlight the category to Delete and click the Delete Category button

Deleting a Category will ALSO DELETE ALL BUTTONS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CATEGORY!

Copy Button Structure: To copy a User's button structure to another User, click the Copy Button Structure button.

User to Copy From: Select the User from the drop down list to copy the CPT button structure from

User to Copy To: Select the User from the drop down list to copy the CPT button structure to

Note: Quixote will clear any existing data for the User to "copy to" and copy the categories and the buttons from the "User to copy from".

Click Save

A warning will appear. Click Yes to override any previous data for the User you are copying to. Click No to disregard.

The "User to copy to" will have exactly the same ICD button structure as the "User to copy from".

Adding a Button

Highlight the Category you are going to Add a button to

Find the ICD Code (search by code or by description)

Highlight the code and hold your left mouse button down.

Drag the code to the button and release the mouse.

Enter the description for this code that will appear on the button.

Note: You can say anything on the button.

Preview before saving. Make any necessary changes.

Click Save

Tip: Adding the ICD Code number to the button is helpful.

Tip: To Delete a code, click the button and use the Delete key on your keyboard.

If Your Mouse is Trapped

Note: If you are in CPT Management or ICD management and you trap your mouse This is a Microsoft error and has nothing to do with Quixote but here is how you get out of it...

Follow these steps exactly, do not rush ahead of the steps;

On your keyboard, hit: control, alt, delete

This will open your Task Manager, do NOT end task, just go to top RED X and close the Task Manager

In Quixote, go to the bottom right of your screen, and hit SAVE

Go to the top right of your screen and close the BLACK X (not the RED one that closes Quixote).

This will return you to Admin, go back into the area you were working (CPT or ICD Management)

You will now be FREE and will not lose the information you had already entered. Continue on.....
