How do I install Quixote on a Windows 7 workstation?

Install Quixote Application on a Windows 7 workstation

 

Adjust the Security

Disable AntiVirus and Firewalls.

Disable User Account Control (UAC)

1.       Click on the Start Menu.

2.       Select Control Panel

3.       In the search field in the upper right type "UAC" an option for turning off UAC should appear.

4.       Scroll down the UAC level to the bottom.

Installation of Quixote Application

1.       Open the Web Browser, type in "qbox" and press ENTER (This will bring you to the download site)

2.       Click on the INSTALL'S tab or click INSTALL NOW.

3.       Click the INSTALL NOW button.

3.1.    If you have trouble with this install .NET may already be installed on your machine.  In this case follow the same steps above but only install Quixote/Chirowrite (right side of the screen)

4.       Follow prompts for completion of install.

Re-Adjust the Security

1.      Be sure to turn your AntiVirus, Firewalls  and UAC back on as desired.
